Betsy (2001-2007) Bitsy Betsy is a small Black Tri Toy Australian Shepherd with brown eyes. She is 10 1/2 inches tall and weighs 9 pounds. She is very cute and affectionate with everyone. She is registered with the National Stock Dog Registry and American Stock Dog Registry. Her mother is a red merle and her father is a blue merle. She is such a hit with the kids! For such a small dog, Betsy is not afraid to walk in a pen beside sheep which are many times her size. Betsy wants to be friends with everything including the cats and chickens. Sadly we lost Betsy one evening after dark when we let the dogs out for one last time before bedtime. We think she became dinner for a Great Horned Owl that lives in the woods behind our house. Her sweet personality will be missed especially the way she loved to "Go for a ride" in the car. Now no small dog is allowed outside after dark unless on a leash.
